Privacy

Private by design.

OmniNVR is built to watch and record cameras on hardware and storage you control. This page explains the app’s data boundaries.

Video and recordings

Camera video is decoded and processed on your Apple devices. Recordings are written to the local or external storage location you select. OmniNVR does not upload camera video to an OmniNVR server.

Camera credentials

Usernames and passwords for cameras are stored in Apple Keychain. They are used only to connect to the devices and services you configure.

Optional Apple services

If you enable iCloud sync or iCloud Drive storage, Apple processes that data under your Apple account and Apple’s terms. These features are optional.

Notifications and integrations

Email, webhook, Apple Home, and live-push integrations contact only the endpoints you configure. Review the privacy practices of those services before enabling them.

Diagnostics

Diagnostic exports are created only when you request them. Camera passwords and other secrets are redacted where supported. Review an export before sharing it.
